I'm Attending...

The Pamela Anderson School of making it happen.

She only asks how she can be of service... and serves it up.

Pamela Anderson talks with Larry King about her work with PETA and her upcoming documentary.

:Pamela Anderson becomes a citizen of the United States:

"Life's an adventure."

"Being a citizen excites me not just because I can vote, but because I can crack the whip on Capitol Hill to defend animals."

Go Pam!

Take a Stand.

Do it today.

Have faith that everything is going to be okay.

Have faith that everyone is created equal.

Have faith that everyday will be glorious.

Take a stand against any feeling that pulls you downward.

Decide.

in wholeness, acceptance, and surrender...

to allow salvation to arrive.

Because.

Love is all around...

:Mary Tyler Moore theme "you're going to make it after all.":

Take a stand into your future.

Here's to Taking Chances. BIG Chances...

No matter what judging voice comes in to my brain to mock Celine Dion.

She rocks.

and reminds me...

Inspiration + Enthusiasm = BIG Power

Here's to taking chances...

Being In Greatness.

Monday Matters...

The beginning of the week is a time to lay claim to the power a new cycle can bring.

If things are dark, it's a time to proclaim the light.

If things went sideways, it's time to move frontways.

If things fell apart, it's time to put them back together.

We never know what may happen but we always know we can begin again.

In that spirit....

I wish you love. All kinds of love, a whole gang of love.

:Judy Garland sings I Wish You Love:
music by Léo Chauliac, English lyrics by Albert A. Beach

"I wish you bluebirds in the spring, to give your heart a song to sing,
And then a kiss, but more than this, I wish you love.
And if you like lemonade to cool you in some lazy glade,
I wish you health, and more than wealth, I wish you love."

Clauson Pickles & Sprinkles Cupcakes...

Some things are meant to go together... others a complete surprise.

One thing that's no surprise... A piano plus Alicia Keys equals greatness.

Say A Little Prayer For the Trees...

Earth day can be every day when you extend your appreciation to include our planet and all it's resources.

:view from Mel's window:

The moment I wake up. Before I put on my makeup.

I Say a Little Prayer for the Trees.

And we never will part.

Cause I don't want to live without them.

Aretha Franklin sings "say a little prayer for me"

Thanks Nature! and Happy Earth Day!

Le Bron - A - Thon Continues....

I always thought you could either grow strong or you could grow tall.

It's nice to see someone do both.

LeBron James really enjoys what he does.

You Say Pope-al... I Say Pap-al...

One of the Merriam-Webster's definitions of papal is : resembling a pope or that of a pope.

Does anyone think there's something off about Pope Benedict.

In every picture it looks like he's performing at a children's birthday party... reluctantly.

It's All Meant to Be Easy...

You can have whatever you allow to be.

Key word.... allow.

Let's add one more word to the mix... accept.

Accept and allow in every moment. and watch situations transform.

Let me know how it goes.

Race. Right. Love. Justice.

"Justice is what love sounds like when it speaks in public"

A bunch of guys get together on Sunday's to talk about issues... No. It isn't in a house of worship... It's Meet the Press... which premiered on radio in 1945 and is now the longest running broadcast on television.

It's been a part of my weekly tradition for as long as I can remember. And. Every now and then... something jumps out. and hits me. hard.

From the broadcast archives in honor of Martin Luther King ... came this response to a question about how many white people attended his Sunday congregation...

"It is one of the tragedies of our nation, one of the shameful tragedies, that 11 o'clock on Sunday morning is one of the most segregated hours, if not, the most segregated hour in Christian America."
(Rev. Liston Pope, Dean of Yale Divinity School)

Martin Luther King on "Meet The Press"

"Standing against the spirit and the teachings... failing to be a true witness."

Moving beyond race. Celebrating in different ways.

It is. a great tragedy. that fear drives the need to segregate and separate. But. it is an even greater tragedy that we allow it to continue.

"Justice is what love sounds like when it speaks in public"

Let's Get Dangerous...

Let's get dangerous with hope
Let's get dangerous with keeping our hearts open
Let's get dangerous with our generosity
Let's get dangerous with how loving we can be
Let's get dangerous in the beauty that surrounds us

I'm practicing it every day.

Join me.

Show up and celebrate all that we can be.

Quote it:
"The ego equates emotional danger with excitement, and claims that the nice, available person isn't dangerous enough. The irony is that the opposite is true: available people are the ones who are dangerous, because they confront us with the possibility of real intimacy."

Feeling free and easy and a little misty...

Harvey Fierstein's A Catered Affair opens on Broadway next week.

We've missed him.

He reminds me of a big bundle of truth.
He reminds me what it means to own oneself.
He inspires me to know that we're each made a certain way.

And.

It's all cool.

Dog Day Afternoon!

Spring is in the air.

Love is all around us.

and.

There's no better time to hang with best friends.

If that doesn't do it for you...

Enjoy Dolly Parton's heartfelt prose over her beloved puppy.... Cracker Jack.

Be Magnificent!

Friday Prayer

It isn't the fancy
Fashion doesn't rule
Comfort can be a peace
You are fabulous
Inside and out.

You gotta fight for your right...

To go your own way.

“Visions are worth fighting for,” Orson Welles tells Ed Wood “Why spend your life making someone else’s dreams?”

Orson Bro... good question.

For me it took a shift. A big shift.

To get with me

To see

and

dream

all i could be.

Crazy World

There are a million ways to go unconscious.

Only one to stay conscious.

love.

"Hang on to Hope" - Julie Andrews sings Crazy World from Victor/Victoria

Pain your own body.

Don't push it on me.

leave it at the door.

if you need cute sayings...

do it.

or.

just be. without me.
