Growing up in Pennsylvania you can't help but have Patriotism fever. The 4th of July is the day we revisit first principles.
Let's get out there and do what we do best on July 4th---
Enjoy our loved ones, celebrate our freedom and most importantly bless the beautiful birth of democracy with honor and respect.
One of my favorite depictions of the birth of the declaration of independence is (no surprise) a musical written by Sherman Edwards and a Tony winner for best musical 1776 .
I pulled a scene from the movie version directed by Peter Hunt in 1972. It's quite a charmer!
Check out past 4th of July posts on the Mel site...
Today I feel like the Luckiest....
Let freedom Ring!
