On Writing.

"Surrender your defenses and open your heart. It is okay. You are not alone. You are not alone in your feelings, You are not alone in your joy, You are connected in that space of my heart. In accepting your feelings as part of the wholeness of who you are, in saying "Yes!" to all of you. You are releasing any judgment taking the largest step into self love and release."

Sometimes I start somewhere like today, with the topic of acceptance and it provides a point of entry, a point of dropping into the wave of the movement that is necessary for the work to express itself on the page. It is a profound part of the writing process, those moments where the discipline of the hours and the gravity of the mechanism that has developed expresses its weight and density to bring forth realizations and truths. You can never predict what will happen, it is often a surprise but it is wholly known. When I was in full swing of the concept of Acceptance, everything necessary for this moment dropped forward and came through bringing with it a heart felt movement.

When I am in this surrender to the blank page, a space where everything is possible and I am totally free to go in a different direction and allow the feelings of the deeper waters to take hold to move the work forward I have the flow of creation working through me.

To be afforded insight into the human heart in this way and to be able to bare witness to the light bulb moments, reconnecting and resurrecting parts of yourself that had long lay dormant, detoxing from whatever weighs you down, is intense.

My understanding of the fact that this process is the way of this work and the feelings that flow onto the page nothing more than exercising of my humanity helps me stay in touch with who I am.

Have a beautiful day!

Let Love Lead the Way

Get Bare with Love Valentine's Package

“How many more times is (fill in the blank and it isn’t pretty) going to happen before I stand up for myself. Before I tell the truth. How many more times will a pattern repeat until I am ready to do things differently?” As Will Rogers said “don’t do the same thing and expect a different result. Do things differently. Get different results.”

In the midst of your life is a space of stillness. A space where you can hear everything that is in service to that beautiful garden of your being. Living from that space delivers a life to its purpose.

Order the Get Bare with Love package this February!!  It is time to embrace this moment.

Don't Shut Up

When you know in your heart that something is not sitting right in your being. It is not a time to stay quiet. We are being called on so many levels to answer the call of our being and to do what we know is the responsible action.

Do not stay quiet. Do not silence your voice. Speak your truth.

Right now!

Have a Dream

No Limits.

"Imagine what America would be like if Martin Luther King Jr. never had a dream."

King often said "there is a power in our hearts more powerful than the power of bullets" ... and today in the land of the free and the home of the brave it's never been more important to remember.

Freedom is a commitment we make every day. A commitment to accepting everyone in all their glory and all their flaws, as brothers.

So today, open your heart and lean into its power, get comfortable with how it feels... because there is much to celebrate and much work ahead. There is no doubt as we move through what is necessary. WE SHALL OVERCOME!

In tribute and remembrance here's one of Martin Luther King's appearances, selected by the late, great Tim Russert, on Meet the Press... with a discussion about King and the current state of politics...It includes this response to a question about how many white people attended his Sunday congregation...

"It is one of the tragedies of our nation, one of the shameful tragedies, that 11 o'clock on Sunday morning is one of the most segregated hours, if not, the most segregated hour in Christian America."

(Rev. Liston Pope, Dean of Yale Divinity School)

Martin Luther King on "Meet The Press"

"The sermon he was going to deliver in the next Sunday were he to live, found in the effects after he was murdered was a sermon called "Why America May Go To Hell" that's the Martin Luther Jr. with which the broad swath of America is not familiar, and they don't understand...the articulation of a theological tradition that ... doesn't respond in hate, but it responds in prophetic anger, then ultimately Love, Love enough to speak justice to the nation...

Justice is what love sounds like when it speaks in public"

For the first time in a long time the imagination of this country is activated. We have the space to contribute our time and talents. A space once again to stretch into new possibilities.

A power has been unleashed, a power to move mountains, the power of belief.

BE INSPIRED. BE LOVING. BE YOU. REPEAT.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Where we got it wrong. We're going to make a correction. And get it right.

Onward...

Start Listening. The Flight of Your Soul is Waiting for You...

When you step onto the path of uncovering your Soul's calling, you start hearing and articulating things you did not want to know, and it can be overwhelming. When you ask the universe Why am I Here? and it lets you know. Don't get thrown. The soul's siren song is always broadcasting and could care less about your thoughts, plans, etc. The soul doesn't make any distinctions between light and dark, doesn't care about pain or heartache, and absolutely doesn't want to hear what you think you should be doing. It worries not over failure, or success. It knows what it knows. It is a soul's calling. Your code. The reason you are here.

In listening to these quieter certain voices within we understand the process of faith in our intuition of who we can be. Who we are to become and allow us to embrace all that we are.

These first lines of a Pablo Narudo poem written near the end of his career looking back at his beginnings brings the feeling to life in the poetic language...

"Something ignited in my soul, fever or unremembered wings, and I went my own way deciphering that burning fire."

The heart and soul only cares that you do it your way.

"Something ignited in my soul"

Give this all the oxygen it needs.

"I went my own way deciphering that burning fire."

Listen to what is being called for.

Take the next step even though it is scary.

Listen to what you know you need to do and please do it. We are all at the point where we need to embrace all at we know and stand in that truth of who we are and what ignites our soul.

The reference for this post is from

LA POESIA by Pablo Neruda

...And something ignited my soul,
fever or unremembered wings,
and i went my own way,
deciphering
that burning fire
and i wrote the first bare line,
bare, without substance, pure
foolishness,
pure wisdom
of one who knows nothing,
and suddenly i saw
the heaven
unfastened
and open.

Enjoy.

I simply Love it.

Whatever You Need Mama Will Provide!

It is amazing how often we find God when we are looking somewhere else.

Once on this Island is a beautifully rendered one act musical dealing with nature. The nature of the personal journey we all take and the effects of nature in full force.

"Oh...
Down the road, little girl
You may lose your way
All alone in a world
That may seem too wide
But sit on Mama's lap
And I will draw a map
And whatever
You need
Mama will
Provide"

Repeat to yourself often. Whatever you need Mama will provide.

And.

She does.

Have patience. Have joy in this moment and watch Mother Nature unfold beautifully.

"Around this bend little friend
I'll be by your side.
That's what her mama's worth
to give her child the earth
And whatever you need
Mama Will Provide!"

Enjoy.
