We are witnessing a great struggle. A struggle in differences. A struggle in divergence. A struggle that is externalizing all of our inner struggles. A struggle over whether we will be loving or whether we will be fearful. A struggle over whether we will know peace or suffer needlessly.
I'm opting out of the struggle.
I always go back to paraphrasing a country song "all the reason's I'm here, I know by heart." You can live in the fiction of the struggle. Or you can revel in the truth. The truth exactly as it is. No fooling. No despair. No hope. Just a knowing that everything is what it is.
"safety lies in truth and not in lies."
"we create what we defend against."
"we're going to get there. one way of the other. It's just whether we are we going to get there through pain or through joy."
Let's get there compassionately.
It's time to let go of the wants. and. stay in the truth of what's needed.
it's time to stop being bitter and get better.
The fantasy of wanting anything to be different than it is, keeps us stuck in the fiction and falsehoods.
Cause never more so... do the words of Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life spring out at me...
"The money's not here. Your money is in Joe's house, that's right next to yours. and in the Kennedy house... and a hundred others."
Money doesn't sit around. It's in the house down the corner. it's in your friends business. it's in a system of support of ideas. A system that is deeply interconnected. A system that needs balanced and right minded decision making.
Yeah. It went off course. Yeah. Smart people did dumb things.
But the truth is the truth. and. it doesn't change.
"Each life touches so many others..." so lets remind ourselves to remember, what we do matters. The choices we make, no matter how small. MATTER.
So choose wisely. And take care of your own 10 cubic feet.
If you have a roof over your head, a job to support yourself and food on the table consider yourself blessed.
Do something for those who don't. Stop the judgement.
We've all been given so many gifts.
it's time.
to use them.
