Peace. Joy. Love. Music.

Wishing you the happiest of holiday seasons!

I happen to love Bill Moyers, and during the year, I don't get the chance to watch his program on PBS as often as I would like.

as luck would have it,
enjoying a conversation at a friends house the other day,
they played me a recent Moyers show
featuring Mark Johnson and his documenatary --
"Playing for Change. Peace through Music."

(I found the segment very moving. -- it runs about 20 minutes.)

and.

thought I would share as my Christmas communication....

in case you felt like catching an inspiring wave of connectedness as we ride out 2008 and head into the new year...

theologian James Dunn spoke of --
the humility that befits all humanity
the hurt that afflicts every heart
and the hope that comes with community

an old theme in American history.

there is strength in the company of others

from "we the people" to "we shall overcome."

to quote Bill Moyers --

"there is much to repair. if we have the will for it."

thanks for being a part of my community.... and. I look forward to more strength in action in the coming year!
