Sundays CBS broadcast of the 2011 Tony Awards was a beautifully produced show. A lot of heart warming moments and once again the thrill and surprise and joy of celebrating this amazing art form was on full display.
Super awesome-ness and most certainly what live theater is all about!
Thanks to whoever posted these clips from the show on Youtube!
It's raining men! Martha Wash and the Broadway cast of Priscilla Queen of the Desert.
The big winner of the night THE BOOK OF MORMON showcased its terrific "I Believe" from the show sung by Tony nominee Andrew Rannells.
On a personal note. So many amazing people who devoted their lives to the theater died this year, one in particular was one of my theatrical heroes Arthur Laurents. A brilliant writer. A beautiful man. His work continues to be an inspiration.
Great job Neil Patrick Harris! Oh, I can't get enough of Angela Lansbury.
Go Broadway! Get to New York and see a show. Any show.
TKTS.
