It will satisfy
your soul. Just do right. It will bring you the kind of protection that body guards can't give you.
Do it. Because it is the right thing to do. If you teach you have to live your
teaching. I am doing my best to do what
I teach.
"Live your life in such a way... make it a better world, just where you are.'
Dr. Maya Angelou wrote some of my favorite words from her poem our Grandmothers... that shares the truth of what I shall not be moved means through time and space and trials and tribulations, through injustice and just ness.
She stood in midocean, seeking dry land.
She searched God's face.
Assured,
she placed her fire of service
on the altar, and though
clothed in the finery of faith,
when she appeared at the temple door,
no sign welcomed
Black Grandmother, Enter here.
Into the crashing sound,
into wickedness, she cried,
No one, no, nor no one million
ones dare deny me God, I go forth
along, and stand as ten thousand.
The Divine upon my right
impels me to pull forever
at the latch on Freedom's gate.
I shall not be moved.
In every breath we get the opportunity to remain deeply rooted into the soul of ourselves offering love to all we meet, making our corner of the world a better place.

The deepest form of Community is to join with a brother in a purpose higher than your own. Let today be a reminder there is much to be done and bust out the Love, open your heart and turn up the volume to an eleven.
Martin Luther King’s words from his historic “I Have A Dream” speech reveal more than a dream, his opening remarks offer up a deep truth and a reminder that the moment is now, not tomorrow, not next week, it is always and only now, as we move into this era of global transformation.
“We have also come to this hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God’s children.”
The issue of equal rights is part of a larger statement about human rights. About the practice of humanity. Martin Luther King Jr’s dream exploded and became reality. As Michael Beckwith says MLK didn’t go to Washington D.C. and say ‘I have a complaint.’ He went to Washington DC and said “I have a dream.”
See today where you are forgetting your dream and pick it back up and share it with a brother. Join together. As ACIM says an idea grows stronger when shared and there is nothing stronger than an agreement between two people.
It is time to join together. It is time to practice the principles of Non Violence in the pursuit of a global practice of humanity.
On the planet today there are one billion people who live in poverty. Who struggle to feed themselves and their families.
THAT IS UNACCEPTABLE.
When a brother is in trouble, we are all in trouble.
Hiding in the bosom of the cult of culture is not going to do it. No more living in the delusion of separation and being different. No more blinders. It is time for the truth. Recognizing our commonalities. Recognizing our note in the song of the universe enabling the harmony of our practice of humanity, that connection we yearn for to truly resonate. Until all of us on this planet are peaceful, none of us can experience true happiness.
Starting here. Starting now. Make a choice to practice humanity. Make your “fierce urgency of now” flourish in brilliance and connection and Love.
smiles,
Melanie
