Mels Love Land started six years ago as a daily commitment to love. It has morphed and evolved and fallen in love and fallen into confusion and remained a space for love, kindness and compassion.
The goal wasn't to provide commentary or judgement on any one person, idea, ideology.
It was quite literally to dance with life, to embody a movement so sacred as to be alive in all its forms without fail in every interaction.
My work has lead me to many parts of the planet, my heart bleeds besides our loving warirors in spaces large and small and my life, I hope has been a demonstration of what Love in action looks like.
Today is the day where I get to honor all those I am thankful for. All the people who continue to show up for me in ways large and small and more importantly, who lovingly move out into the world enacting kindness, taking a beat with compassion and asking the important question, 'How can I be of service to love and more love?' today in my life.
It isn't always easy to be non-reactive when the drama is a particularly juicy one. It isn't always easy to be in the flow of lifes twists and turns but a discipline and commitment to love and allowing love to lead the way requires movement with what is, finding balance in the steady actions required in each moment free from the past and the future.
It has been an honor to enjoy this loving movement practice and those who have joined me on the way.
A thankful, gratitude filled essay is one filled with tears, and laughter, and joking and emotions and thrills and heart souring joy for all that we have done together. All that we have shared and all the ways that make this week one to remember for a long time to come.
Big shout out to my birth family, the LUTZ'S, what an amazing crew of awesome. We have been through it all over these booming years of change. No matter what is going on you can count on the laughs and the support and the yelling optimism of this crew of big hearts. Many grateful cheers for how we all hold it together in the great state of California and beyond.
What and who are you grateful for? How can you be in greater service to their happiness? How will your thanks be received?
Lots of Love, Mel.
