When my Dad
passed away last year he had someone from the other side of the rainbow bridge
sing me a song in my dreams, it kept repeating until I got up and wrote it
down. The words ‘every mountain needs a
rainbow’ from the other side let me know he arrived safely and all was well. It was comforting and I was grateful for this
reminder that the veil between this world and the other is thin and while his
physical body was gone, he had returned home with love.
His birthday
is coming up on 11/1, which also happens to be, All Souls Day or the Day of the
Dead the day of the year where we are in closest connection to the other side. On
All Souls' Day, there is a Book of the Dead, in which attendees of services
have an opportunity to write the names of relatives to be remembered and
honored. It is a powerful expression
with the personal tributes to friends and family members that have transitioned
to the other side. This deep and beautiful experience of our memories and our
heart is humbling.
Mels LoveLand #MiniMag Issue 9 | Soul Celebration is the offering for this time of year,
when the soul rejoices in memories, the heart leaps into the darkening months
and life gets a full celebration.
Every
mountain needs a rainbow, something you and I can see,
Every
mountain needs a rainbow, from sea to shining sea,
Every mountain needs a rainbow, something you and I can see
Every mountain needs a rainbow, that leads to harmony
It isn't always easy
It isn’t often clear
This way of things
In what our hearts
hold dear
Every mountain needs a rainbow, something you and I can see
Every mountain needs a rainbow, that leads to you and me
Check out
the issue here and thank you for your kindness, love, understanding and
compassion. I am honored to be in community with your.
Love, Mel
