It’s amazing how it’s always all there.

So many cues, clues and symbols. Opening doors into new worlds just waiting. Waiting for the decoding and the processing and the recognition.

Sitting right in front of you.   

With the popularity of Dan Brown novels and all the scholars and resources and the internet you would think it would be easier to get it.

It took me a bit of time to find this recording of my first bookstore reading of Mels Love Land.  Through the magical practice of love and patience and faith, I share it now for your listening pleasure.  It was recorded at the now moved Bodhi Tree Bookstore in West Hollywood, California with lots of friends, strangers, lovers and family in the audience.

Mels Love Land is a love movement into the heart of unconditional self love. It is a practice of seeing with love and having that be the beginning and ending of every conversation. Love is the decoder to every situation you find yourself in.

Like The Miracle Worker caring, loving, exhausting herself, to understand the blind and deaf, Helen Keller, to make a connection to something, to breakthrough the darkness, to find the sign and symbol that would lead to a light filled recognition and open the gateways of communication. A flash of a memory. Water. Water would open the door of recognition and language.  It nearly killed both of them, but once the connection was made, Helen Keller was able to unlock a way to speak, to share her voice, to open up to new possibilities.

Once you get “water” is this… instinct. feeling. emotion. You can use it to decode all the hidden messages in everything. It is all possible. Getting that first key stone is sometimes the hardest, as blinders are built into the universal framework, but ultimately with care and work and faith seeing through clouded and skewed vision and distorted perceptions is possible.

When we see. Life is easier. Love is easier.   

Seeing leads to the promised land.

            

Elaine Strich had it from her show At Liberty “I am mad as hell that I had to go through what I had to go through to get to what I’ve gotten to.”  And. Here I am. We’ve all gone through what we needed to go through, we’ve seen the outcomes of behavior, we’ve cycled through disconnection, we see the truth. We know what doesn’t feel warm and friendly, we know what closes our hearts, we know what we need to be. We are not going to be able to hide behind fences, technology, or whatever defenses we imagine will help us, the planetary population has eradicated that possibility. We are like little rabbits walking into the light for the first time naked into the perceived battlefield. Realizing how connected we are, realizing there is no one left to squeeze to make a profit, no dumps left to fill. No ways that can’t be inherent in our means. We are interdependent on each other. We are here to help each other. We are here to be in service with love.

A few things to Remember with Love....

-Change is a constant. The Earth never stops moving and spinning and evolving.

-Freedom is something that our ancestors fought for and should never be taken for granted.

-The heart is always ready to sing a song and your body and spirit love to dance.

-Love always remains the answer.

-Every dog has its day.

-No matter how many tears fall, they will eventually stop.

-A smile turns the world around.

-Every moment is compete.

-Everything that isn't loving as a call for love.

-No matter how dark it gets the sun will always rise and shine.

-Love doesn't hurt, closing our hearts to love hurts.

Divine Love and Wisdom Unfolds When Wisdom is Applied to Commitment...

“A wise old Owl sat on an oak, The more he saw the less he spoke, The less he spoke the more he heard, Why aren't we all a bit more like that wise old bird?”

In the preface to Emanuel Swedenborg’s Divine Love and Wisdom the Latin Translator of the text talks about the sketch of a Roman Garden that adorned the title page of each of Swedenborg’s books under the phrase Cura Et Labore "with care and work." The image of a beautiful garden with a cherub like Angel watering the plants tending to the well loved garden's growth and harmony strikes to the core of any process. 

It is a reminder of the wisdom and grace that exists when discipline is applied to commitment in realizing the fruits of our labor. It represents the opportunity for us to make manifest the joys of a life fully lived in divine Love. When we enrich each moment with care and work, making conscious choices. Free of the energies that keep us bound. We allow nature to take its course in harmony without calling out the struggle, we effortlessly step into the full beauty of existence.

Move into the garden of your being remembering everything is as it is. You are exactly where you are supposed to be and you know absolutely how to tend to your needs. 

Swedenborg was one of the first and my favorite dude to express the idea of religion into the revelation of light and to translate the ideas into the concept of spirituality tramping through the late 1600's through 1772, that all the doors lead to the same place.  His roots into the ideals of mysticism are well documented and another of the Renaissance spirits who illuminated concepts outside of the current limitations of present conscious understanding.   Like Benjamin Franklin who would follow in Swedenborg's self publishing divinely inspired writings Swederborg is an inspiration.   Men of vision and insight and continual curiosity expanding principles into the hearts and minds of humanity to lead the way forward to freedom.

Spending the end of the year enjoying the spirit and love and all the wisdom imaginable celebrating how far on the journey to discover the truth I had come was the ultimate gift.  I know how blessed I am to know what I know and to get to participate with so many of you in sharing this beautiful, wonderful life.  Thanks again for all the miracles and thanks again for the laughs and most importantly thanks for all the memories.

Take today to remember as Rumi wrote - 'Whatever I was looking for was always you.'  Every search begins and ends within, in the full presence of all light that is your essence.  Everywhere you look you are surrounded by the embrace of all that is divine.  Plant whatever seeds remind you of this truth.  Plant them in the hearts of your friends, in the minds of strangers and in the embrace of your loved ones. There is no greater miracle than to hear beyond the ears and to love with all your heart, radiating outward from source expanding creations power with each incredibly fortuitous breath of life.

Today is the eve of humanities experience of divine light shining forth into consciousness.  We celebrate this night as the birth of Christ, as the birth of all that is.  It is a beautiful time to consciously connect with the many realms of the universe in our own blessed verse.  Thank God for Christmas Eve.  Thank all the doors that lead to the same place and thank each and every one of you for playing the part you were born to play.

Allow for the grandest expression of light to bring forward all the seedlings necessary for the re-birth of our creative infrastructure of peace.  Deliver that which opens the flood gates for all to come.

Enabling the little ones to experience the safety of its source.  Offering this unconditional love allows roots to spring forward and divine flowering to flourish, grounding the earth.  Living in the oneness of all that is so that the cycles and the flow of nature can work its powerful magnificence.

Inequality Anywhere is a Threat to Equality Everywhere...

I woke up this morning hearing the above words ringing in my head.  "Inequality Anywhere is a Threat to Equality Everywhere..."

Of course, once I had my coffee and remembered the source of this thought, Martin Luther King's "Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere" from his Letter from Birmingham Jail, April 16, 1963 I understood you can not jail an idea, you can not jail the truth, chains do not stop an idea whose time has come.  An idea is stronger than any army. In holding the light with love you understand each action counts, each injustice matters and each time an act of separation and segregation and hatred takes place it is our job to not allow it to stand as a monument and take root.  It is our job to halt it and showcase it for the ineffectual threat it is to our state of grace and set it right shifting the course of our peaceful destiny action by action. It is our job to shine light on the experience with love returning to the ground of truth.

This paradigm works with anything, a way for a shift to remember every action of fear has a fearful result and NOW is the time to shift to LOVE.

Hate anywhere is a threat to love everywhere... etc.  Every action counts and creates a reaction.  What we put into something is what comes out.  Everyday my work is to create more love in my life and the lives of those I come into contact with.  It isn't like, 'wow, look at how cool I am because I am being loving,' it is, 'Gosh, what I am seeing is not okay and I can not sit idly by, how can a look at this situation with love?'  We are facing a complicated age of needing to take loving action every day to reveal the patience of responding beyond the reactions.

Be brave, little by little, in your center, no loathing, no arrogance all love, action by action, thought by thought.  Take a stand for what you know to be true.  If you are a witness to unkindness, injustice, inequality, in-nanity, let your heart share the message of truth in gentle compassion for what needs to be shared in the most loving way.

When one of us is disparaged, all of us suffer.  Each slight is registered and When the sword is thrust at someone it falls on us.  This is the time to stand in love and to release what no longer needs to chain our tomorrows.

Life is a gift of being awake.  Awake to bare witness and to remember the truth.  Allow your relationships to be free of the past, allow the present to be something miraculous.  Allow this moment to live and breath in all its glory simply by remembering the truth.  Love does not change.  There is not love in categories. Love makes right action.

It makes me think about this quote "The holiest of all spots on earth is where an ancient hatred has become a present love."  

Hatred can not exist in Love.  Love changes every equation and equals itself.  Let love lead the way.  

LOVE ANYWHERE EXPANDS LOVE EVERYWHERE!

Through our relationships in compassionate action nurtured with love come the inspirations of our tomorrows, not of the past, in the present free from the disappointment of past memories.

Today let us be thankful. We have come to gentler pathways and to smoother roads. There is no thought of turning back, and no implacable resistance to the truth.

Experience a shift in your perceptions, make a commitment to compassion allowing your heart to dance in full display of your soul's code.   

Coming from a news background I get irritated when I read or watch the current state of what is considered news and the exchange of information where open letters become the basis of reality to cement a position rather than enliven action to make change. I am tired of the spirit of journalism being reduced to opinions and statements based on beliefs that have long ago been lost in the evolution of humanity.

It is impossible to rely on objectivity or balanced reporting, you have to apply "the filter" whatever it is to create a reasonable facsimile of the actual truth.  Getting past the judgments and illusions of hatred.   There are so many outlets for information, the splintering effect has diluted the impact of a resonating truth.  This does not mean it does not live and breath in your being.  It means it has never been more important than to learn the language of the heart and to remember the message lies within as does peace of mind and peace on earth.

Shifting to an attitude of enough, where each action that is not right minded gets stopped in its tracks, brought into the light of love to remember.  Actions are weapons that lead us to heaven or hell.  It is always our choice.  A choice we can exercise with maximum love.

Friendship Makes the World Go Round!

You've got to have friends, all kinds of friends.  Friends are how the world goes round.  Friends are the extension of our hearts, those individuals who are with us no matter what, giving us strength to rely on when we feel ours is gone, loving us when we need a boost and sharing in the sad and happy days that make up in equal parts the days of our lives.  

Friendship is forged not so much by time but through

understanding with compassion, 

laughter, tears, invitations, insights, hugs, 

heartaches, happiness and the joyfulness

of time spent in sharing our hearts with another.

Whether new friends or old, whether friends we see everyday or friends that live in our hearts across great distances.  Friends are the vessel through which we feel the wholeness of who we are, safe and sound and in complete connection to our insular Tahiti and that space of heaven on earth. -- Excerpted from The Bare Melcessities.

We are in a time where we have lost our sense of the breath of humanity. Globalization has widened our viewpoint but has not increased our connectedness. Instead, barriers have been established, freedoms have been undermined and blinders have grown and grown. Rabbit holes have sprung up along the way and millions have segmented into these holes.  Within this framework, our friends, whose experience brings us wisdom, whose intelligence and caring teach us the meaning of kindness, whose presence stand with us, connecting, coinciding, collaborating, and sharing in this adventure of life.

The Bible offers two notable examples of friendships. The first is that between Jonathan and David, in which Jonathan walks a slender tightrope between his loyalty to his friend David and his devotion to his father Saul. The second is that between Ruth and Naomi, which gives us the beautiful verse that has been adopted by lovers but in its spirit holds the heart of true friendship....

“Wither thus goest, I will go, and where though lodgest, I will lodge; thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God, where thou diest, will I die, and there will be buried: the Lord do so to me and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.”

Samuel Johnson, who knew the fragility of friendship and said that “life has no pleasure higher or nobler than friendship,” tended to place friendship on the same level of significance as marriage a joining with a brother in a space of safety and joy and peace.

Friends are the family we choose.

Here's to all our friends, our soul families and all the interconnections that nourish our spirit.
