Spoken Words of Love: Melanie Lutz talks Mels Love Land at the Bodhi Tree Bookstore

It’s amazing how it’s always all there.

So many cues, clues and symbols. Opening doors into new worlds just waiting. Waiting for the decoding and the processing and the recognition.

Sitting right in front of you.

With the popularity of Dan Brown novels and all the scholars and resources and the internet you would think it would be easier to get it.

It took me a bit of time to find this recording of my first bookstore reading of Mels Love Land.  Through the magical practice of love and patience and faith, I share it now for your listening pleasure.  It was recorded at the now moved Bodhi Tree Bookstore in West Hollywood, California with lots of friends, strangers, lovers and family in the audience.

Enjoy.

Mels Love Land is a love movement into the heart of unconditional self love. It is a practice of seeing with love and having that be the beginning and ending of every conversation. Love is the decoder to every situation you find yourself in.

Like The Miracle Worker caring, loving, exhausting herself, to understand the blind and deaf, Helen Keller, to make a connection to something, to breakthrough the darkness, to find the sign and symbol that would lead to a light filled recognition and open the gateways of communication. A flash of a memory. Water. Water would open the door of recognition and language.  It nearly killed both of them, but once the connection was made, Helen Keller was able to unlock a way to speak, to share her voice, to open up to new possibilities.

Once you get “water” is this… instinct. feeling. emotion. You can use it to decode all the hidden messages in everything. It is all possible. Getting that first key stone is sometimes the hardest, as blinders are built into the universal framework, but ultimately with care and work and faith seeing through clouded and skewed vision and distorted perceptions is possible.

When we see. Life is easier. Love is easier.

Seeing leads to the promised land.

Elaine Strich had it from her show At Liberty “I am mad as hell that I had to go through what I had to go through to get to what I’ve gotten to.”  And. Here I am. We’ve all gone through what we needed to go through, we’ve seen the outcomes of behavior, we’ve cycled through disconnection, we see the truth. We know what doesn’t feel warm and friendly, we know what closes our hearts, we know what we need to be. We are not going to be able to hide behind fences, technology, or whatever defenses we imagine will help us, the planetary population has eradicated that possibility. We are like little rabbits walking into the light for the first time naked into the perceived battlefield. Realizing how connected we are, realizing there is no one left to squeeze to make a profit, no dumps left to fill. No ways that can’t be inherent in our means. We are interdependent on each other. We are here to help each other. We are here to be in service with love.

You Learn By Loving.

Everything happens for a reason isn't just one of those sayings it is a reality in the universal plan.  By standing with love in your heart connecting with each and every heart you meet life unfolds beautifully in peace and grace.

As my Aunt used to say 'So much loving work to do.'

If this seems difficult, ask yourself, what do you have to lose?  A bad attitude, a slumping slump. Always remember as my favorite Eleanor Roosevelt said 'You Can do that which you think you can not do.'   Choose to greet everyone you meet with a loving smile extending blessings and joy and a smile to everyone you meet.

Experience the grace of the world.  Experience the miracles available in each encounter.  Experience the gifts being offered all the time.

"The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant.  We have created a society that honours the servant and has forgotten the gift." Einstein.

Enjoy.

Lots of Love,

Melanie

DAY ONE MEL'S LOVE LAND #NEXT100 | STAND UP. SPEAK OUT. TAKE ACTION WITH LOVE

Been thinking a lot about personal responsibility, as the news trumpets on, and life marches forward and as change is constant and the ways we could complain endless.  Today is Day ONE of the #Next 100 Mel’s Love Land Challenge.

We have the opportunity right now to assume any position we want to assume, why not choose Love?   Take a stance of compassionate grace in your life and quite simply, look at the world through a loving filter.  Today is the day to remember life begins again in each breath.  With this next breath it is time to make a shift in consciousness, to choose in this moment to be more loving than the last, to awaken to the joy of invigorated being.
STAND UP
That man or woman in the mirror who needs to remember the truth of who you are and why you are here on the planet.  There are a lot of conversations we could be having about how tricky this situation is, or how caught up I am in my feelings, but the only conversation we need to have is am I being loving.  am I being compassionate. am I being kind.
This is the stance of remembering we are powerful beyond measure and this is what we take forward as our birthright.
SPEAK OUT
We can’t keep up with everything that is taking place in the world and we do no not have time to worry about what we can do nothing about.  Our voice is important.  Exercising that voice with love is our responsibility.
The focus falls to the individual.  It falls to the places and spaces of our playing field.  The areas of our hearts were we are in community with the world.  Life is an ongoing exercise of love in compassionate action.  It is all things in all ways and the essence of a people’s faith in each other.
TAKE ACTION
Doing the right thing is only possible when we have been taught to practice loving thought, when we have a discipline to move through the every creating illusions of our fears.  Consider the possibility there is another way to look at it.  Choose love, no matter what, shift your perception to happiness and joy and do not deny what flows.
Let’s trust in love and make that the bottom line.

The Constant Motion of Peace Beyond all Stillness. Tips from the Still Point of Mel.

This wonderful world we live in where everything unfolds and is understood for the sacredness of its essence swirling before us is the work of faith in compassionate positioning where we trust the perfection of the divine plan for our lives.

What a Wonderful World written by Bob Thiele and George David Weiss and performed originally by Louis Armstrong, shares the joy of natures constant motion perfect stillness and the beauty of a way of being.

I see skies of blue,

And clouds of white.

The bright blessed day,

The dark sacred night.

And I think to myself,

What a wonderful world.

Flood your vision with love creating a vision of the world that explodes with radiance, like the light in the trees, glowing with compassion.  This is what compassionate positioning means.  You make a choice to create a stance in the world where you are able to be in a space of compassion and Love and look into the eyes of those who are suffering and feel their suffering without losing your center. When you know your own center, you are in stillness with the truest space of your being allowing you to understand in every situation the space you are holding, and from that space you remember your job is to extend Love. You are not taking on another’s karma, you are merely dealing with your own, and in your knowing of this one detail, you allow other people to grow into their knowing.

The colors of a rainbow.....so pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces of people passing by

I see friends shaking hands.....saying how do you do

They're really saying......I love you.

Step into the space of truth allowing a higher thought pattern of love permeate your conversations, allow a space for our collective humanity above the "battlefield" and petty tyrannies of fear.  Try for a today no matter what someone may say, to take the loving thought of, "They are really saying, I love you."

In the midst of your life is a space of stillness. A space where you can hear everything that is in service to that beautiful garden of your being. Living from that space delivers a life to its purpose eradicating the effect of chaos to knock you off course.

In getting to know the full extent of the accordances of your authentic self with this stillness, holding the intention to be free of fearful illusions of harm, living in full harmony and equality with the truth, you create a space of freedom by your example for all brothers to step into in the light of Love.

Move into the experience of full and equal human rights in our communities and around the planet.  Trust there is a divine plan for all of us and judgment is not necessary, compassionate action is.

Think to yourself, at all times, what a wonderful life, and celebrate all of it, in the faces of people passing by, and enjoy my favorite part 'everyone is really saying "I love you."
There is great power in the actions of love and in remembering It is ALL a wonderful world with room for everyone, possibilities for more and more peace expand naturally through all of the expressions of love.

Enjoy the Hummingbird of Happiness, the powerful Esperanza Spalding's performance from the 84th Annual Academy Awards In Memoriam.  So many legends that meant so much to so many crossed over in 2012.  As always it was that ethereal impactful reminder of what lives beyond our perceptions, the touching mix of singer and media creating a most a loving and harmonious tribute to a legion of heroes who inspire us.

Pictures and Prose - excerpt from Melanie Lutz's THE BARE MELCESSITIES

"I was missing something. Missing something very dearly, and I became curious and excited by ideas of what would nourish me.

An acquaintance of mine shared a story and led me in a new direction on nourishment. She felt that her family had never accepted her chosen path in life, didn't encourage her on any level. She sought comfort in therapy only to be derided by family members with their chorus of "Are you still in therapy?" Her translation... "Are you still fucked up?"

The time came when she was starring in Tennessee Williams, The Rose Tattoo, and she knew what she needed, and she finally asked for it. In a polite note to her family, she requested they send flowers opening night and for the run of the show. Every day flowers showed up at the theater with a note that said, "We are proud of you." The flowers fed her, nourished the dream she held for so long, night after night, the flowers told the story of acceptance. She related how nourished she felt by the very sight of the flowers. When the show closed, for the first time in her life she felt full.

Note to Mel: Revelation.

Nourishment could mean many different things. Food wasn't the only item that could be nourishing. Nourishment could be applied to self, needs, desires, feelings, wants, ideas, you name it. This concept blipped so strongly on my radar, the signal growing stronger and stronger with each passing second. Beckoning long forgotten parts of myself. "Nourish yourself. Do it. Now."
